Hi, everyone! I’m Roy, and I work as a junior SEO marketer at Watter. Outside of my work at Watter, I’m often working even more: at Pizzeria Bella Sardegna in Roden. In my free time, I also spend a lot of time gaming. For me, this is the perfect way to escape my busy schedule. My favorite games are Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Overwatch, and Borderlands, and I also have a wide variety of other games that I play.
I joined Watter during my internship in 2023. What attracted me to the company was that it was small but also sold a unique product: a technology that aims to make an impact on the world. And even though it’s a complex product, that also ensures there’s never a dull day.
After completing my studies, I’ve been working at Watter again since late 2025 as a junior SEO marketer. My responsibilities include optimizing website pages, identifying new content opportunities, and ensuring we rank highly on Google and other platforms.
The atmosphere in the workplace can best be described as “casual professional.” Although we obviously work hard, the atmosphere is always relaxed, and you can have a friendly chat with any colleague. Everyone is always open to answering questions, and you can even just walk right into the boss’s office!
I really enjoy this atmosphere: it creates an environment where you love to work: it feels like one big team.
I get my energy from designing beautiful, clean pages that people want to visit and read. SEO is a crucial part of any business, and for me, there’s nothing better than seeing results: like that one keyword that finally ranks higher than the competition.
I’m also a big fan of data and research; I love digging into new data to see how pages can be improved even further. Or finding research that’s a perfect fit for a use case where Watter can help. It’s that sense of certainty that makes all the hours of trial and error totally worth it.
It was this year’s trip to Germany! We all went skiing together, which had rather… mixed results, to put it mildly. But it was fantastic to see both the beginners and the experienced colleagues confidently making their way down the slopes.
I believe the future of water disinfection is very bright; it’s a market that’s constantly evolving, and where regulations are becoming increasingly strict. But I believe our system is the future of disinfection! A future in which every business will have continuous on-site disinfection, and where microorganisms won’t stand a chance!
