Tell us something about yourself. Who are you and what do you like to do for fun?

¡Hola! My name is Pablo Sánchez Blanco. I am 21 years old and I moved from Spain to the Netherlands to broaden my horizons. I’m a curious person by nature; I love diving into new fields and learning about things I’ve never encountered before. When I’m not working on my digital marketing skills, I’m usually looking for new experiences or enjoying the change of scenery here in the Netherlands.

What are you studying and how does that relate to your internship at Watter?

I am studying Marketing and International Business. My studies give me the strategic foundation, but Watter is the perfect playground to actually apply my passion for digital marketing. Even though this specific industry was brand new to me, the core of marketing is about reaching people, and I love the challenge of adapting my knowledge to this fresh, innovative environment.

How is the atmosphere at the workfloor?

If I had to describe my first impression in just one word, it would be: Verrassend (Surprising). I didn't quite know what to expect from this sector, but I found a workplace that is incredibly dynamic. It’s a place that encourages you to dive deep into topics you aren't familiar with yet, which makes every day a learning experience.

What has been your favourite moment here at Watter?

My favorite moments are those "lightbulb" times when a complex topic suddenly clicks. Coming from a different background and country, I really appreciate how the team welcomes new perspectives. Oh, and the canteen culture is great—though I’m still figuring out the Dutch snacks!

Is there anything you wish to tell future interns looking for an internship?

My advice is: don't be afraid of the unknown! I chose Watter because it was a sector I didn't know, and that has been the most rewarding part. If you want a place where you can apply your passion in a challenging, fresh environment, this is it. Dive in and keep an open mind.

Lastly, what’s your favourite food in the canteen?

Honestly? I’ll eat almost anything you put in front of me... except for eierballen! I think I’ll leave those to my Dutch colleagues for now.
