SDGs: A path to a better world

The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are guidelines for a better world. They represent key challenges in various topics, including poverty reduction, addressing inequality, managing climate change and conserving biodiversity. The goals are set by the United Nations and should be achieved by 2030. The 193 UN countries have all adopted these goals.

Watter and SDGs

It is essential that everyone contributes in today's world.Watter is also committed to supporting these goals. Through our sustainable disinfection with HOCl, we contribute to several goals. In the coming weeks, we will elaborate on the SDGs below:

  • SDG 3: Good health and well-being
  • SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation
  • SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
  • SDG 13: Climate action

Watter contributes to improving water quality and reducing disease by effectively killing bacteria, fungi, viruses and yeasts. This promotes animal health and animal welfare. Aart and Willem van der Ham talk about the importance of safe water and improved production.

Watter also contributes to responsible manufacturing in the industrial sector. Consider the manufacture of food, beverages, chemical and cosmetic products. Here, large quantities of conventional disinfectants are used. By replacing these harmful chemicals with a system that is much less harmful to the climate, Watter is helping to make a positive impact on the above goals.

In our upcoming blog, we will cover the first Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) that Watter contributes to: SDG 3 - Good Health and Wellbeing.

These goals are essential to create a better world where everything and everyone can live a healthy life.
